MOUNTAINEER ROUNDUP: Eastern baseball, softball battle to round out March

Big Blue never backs down from a battle.

Eastern Oklahoma State College baseball and softball have been hard at work in the dirt, facing off against the competition.

The Mountaineers got a 13-12 win over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M over the weekend. Logan Smith led Eastern with a homer and four RBIs, while John Sekich and Ruben Venter also went yard to contribute to the Mountaineers' 12 RBIs.

Grayson Connell, Reid Williams, and Grayson Smith combined for five strikeouts on the mound, while Cyrus Kornegay was credited with the win to close out the game.

The Lady Mountaineers battled in a pair of tough Region 2 games against Connors. Greenlee Wells homered twice in the series and earned four RBIs, while Braelyn Blasengame added in another. Grace Hulsey and Mackenzie Martin combined their efforts in the circle for eight strikeouts in the two games.
