Eastern drops conference tourney title game vs. Seminole

Eastern Oklahoma State College dropped a 7-6 loss Sunday to Seminole State College in the NJCAA Region II baseball conference tournament championship game at Crystal Beach Park in Woodward.
The Mountaineers (44-17) jumped out to an early lead with David Vilches hitting a three-run bomb in the first frame before Seminole scored twice in the second to pull within 3-2 through two innings.
Seminole added two runs in the third to go ahead and stretched the lead to 6-3 through the fourth.
Eastern's Cody Muncy hit a two-run dinger in the sixth to pull within one run and Davin Gummere tied it up at 6-6 with an RBI single in the top of the seventh.
Seminole got a solo home run in the eighth and the Mountaineers failed to score a run in the final inning.
Vilches went 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs, Gummere was 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI, and Muncy was 1-for-4 with one run and two RBIs.
The Mountaineers took a walk-off 8-7 win against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College to start the double-elimination tournament before dropping an 11-5 loss Friday to Connors State and taking a 12-1 win Saturday against Rose State College and a 26-13 win against Connors State.
