Eastern Scores 15 to beat Arkansas Baptist College

Eastern Oklahoma State College won in convincing fashion over Arkansas Baptist College 15-5. Eastern fired up the offense to score 4 runs in the first inning. The Mountaineers charge was led by back to back home runs from Tyler Johnson and Cody Muncy.

The Mountaineers pulled away for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth, Ridge Stephens hit a solo homer, Johnson singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, and Jarrett Gable singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

EOSC notched four runs in the seventh inning. Reed Shepherd, Ryan Lumpkin, and Robby Broseus all drove in runs in the frame.

Jon Ward took the win for Eastern. He allowed five hits and two earned runs over seven innings, striking out five.

Javier Sanchez took the loss for Arkansas Baptist. He surrendered eight runs on eight hits over 4 2-3 innings, striking out four.

The Mountaineers had ten hits in the game. Shepherd and Johnson led the way with two hits each for EOSC.
