Three Pitchers Work Together in No-Hitter as Eastern beats SCU

Eastern's three pitchers didn't allow a single hit, as the Mountaineers defeated Southwestern Christian University 19-0 on Friday.

Cole Broughton led the Mountaineers to victory by driving in four runs. He went 2-for-2 at the plate. Broughton drove in runs on a single in the first and a triple in the first.

Eastern fired up the offense in the first inning, when Mac McCroskey tripled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Brenton Beck was on the hill for Mountaineers. He went three innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out seven and walking one.

Eastern socked one home run on the day. Dawson Walters went yard in the third inning.

The Mountaineers totaled 12 hits. McCroskey, Broughton, and Jarett Gage all had multiple hits for Eastern. McCroskey went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits. The Mountaineers didn't commit a single error in the field. Nick Wimmers had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.
