Eastern hosts playoff game Monday; Brewer all conference, all region

The Mountaineers (14-12, 4-12) will tipoff at 7 p.m. in the first round of the Region 2 tournament of the National Junior College Athletic Association. The winner gets Connors State College, who earned a bye, at 6 p.m. in Shawnee on Thursday. 

The semifinals is Friday at 6 p.m. The Mountaineers, should they get that far, would face either Seminole State College or Northern Oklahoma College in Enid. If Eastern makes it to the championship, it will be played at 4 p.m. in Shawnee. 

Tevin Brewer of the Mountaineers was recognized for his play his freshman season. Brewer was Second Team All-Region 2 and an all conference selection by the Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference. Brewer has averaged 26.8 points per game in 25 games played this season.
