After defeating Rose State College, the defending Region 2 champions, on October 7th with a convincing 6-1 performance, the 2021 Mountaineers have surpassed the program's all-time conference win record.
The Mountaineers have two remaining conference games this season and hope to clinch a spot in the Region 2 Tournament.
"This class took a chance on a program that in the previous season went 1-8," said head coach Gonzalo Carranza. "I am proud of them for turning things around and working for more every day."
The group is proud of the accomplishment, but feels Eastern soccer can give even more in current and future seasons, Carranza said.
Previous program conference records:
2014: 1-4
2015: 3-2-1
2016: 2-2-2
2017: 1-5
2018: 2-5-1
2019: 4-5-1
2020: 1-8
