The Eastern Oklahoma State College softball team weathered a push by the Murray State College Aggies in the seventh inning where the Mountaineers coughed up three runs, but Eastern held on to win 7-5 on Thursday.
Eastern tallied 12 hits on the day. Ashley Pletcher, Kaitlyn Smith, Summer Perkins, and Kirstie Blackwood each had multiple hits for the Mountaineers. Blackwood, Perkins, Smith, and Pletcher each collected two hits to lead Eastern. The Mountaineers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Perkins made the most plays with five.
Kensea Eppler led Aggies with three hits in three at bats.
