4-Hit Day for Perkins Earns Eastern Softball Victory Over Northern Oklahoma College-Enid

Summer Perkins would not be denied at the plate on Saturday, picking up four hits and leading Eastern Oklahoma State College Mountaineers Softball to a 15-4 win over Northern Oklahoma College-Enid.  Perkins doubled in the first, singled in the fourth, singled in the seventh and singled in the seventh.

NOC-Enid scored three runs in the fourth inning, but Eastern still managed to pull out the victory.  The offensive firepower by NOC-Enid was led by Addison Gilliam and Kirsten Goodman, both driving in runs in the frame.

Eastern got things started in the first inning when Perkins doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Eastern tallied seven runs in the seventh inning.  The offensive firepower by Eastern l was led by Kaitlyn Smith, Sydney Green, Avery Roberts and Perkins, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Kally Henson got the start for Eastern. She threw all 7 innings, allowing eight hits and four runs while striking out two.

Eastern launched two home runs on the day. Katelyn Hoover went for the long ball in the second inning. Cailee Hendrick had a long ball in the first inning.

Eastern scattered 16 hits in the game.  Perkins, Nene Meza, Hendrick, Smith, Gree, and Hoover each collected multiple hits for the Mountaineers.  Perkins went 4 for 4 at the plate to lead Eastern in hits.
