Eastern Softball to compete in NJCAA Region II Tournament this week

The regular season has ended for Eastern Oklahoma State College, and now it turns its sights to the postseason.

The Lady Mountaineers (23-29, 10-22) lost seven of their final eight games of the regular season, including a home doubleheader in the regular season finale May 5 at home against Carl Albert State College, 5-3 and 9-1. 

Now, they're hoping to put that behind them, as they are scheduled to compete in the NJCAA Region II Tournament that runs this Thursday through Sunday at Seminole State College.

Eastern's first game is scheduled against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. The Lady Mountaineers were 0-4 against NEO this season.

Northern Oklahoma College-Enid and Connors State College are scheduled to play in a best of three series for the right to advance to play Seminole in the tournament.

G1: Carl Albert State College vs. Western Oklahoma State College, 11 a.m.
