Eastern Defeats Oklahoma Wesleyan JV Despite Allowing 4-Run Inning

Eastern weathered a push by Oklahoma Wesleyan JV in the fifth inning where Eastern coughed up four runs, but Eastern still won 13-4 on Monday.

Eastern got on the board in the first inning. An error scored one run.

Jewell Henry led things off on the rubber for Eastern. She surrendered zero runs on two hits over five innings, striking out five.

Eastern socked two home runs on the day. Ashley Brown had a dinger in the third inning. Sydney Green had a four-bagger in the second inning.

Eastern racked up 15 hits.  Alissa KindredSummer PerkinsKatelyn Hoover and Green all managed multiple hits for Eastern.  Green, Hoover, Perkins and Kindred each collected two hits to lead Eastern.  Eastern was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Skyler Thompson made the most plays with five.
