Eastern Claims Lead in Sixth Inning to Defeat Oklahoma Wesleyan JV 10-8

Eastern defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan JV 10-8 on Monday after taking the lead late in the game.  Eastern was down 8-6 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Cassidy Floyd homered on a 3-2 count, scoring three runs.

Floyd led Eastern to victory by driving in four runs. She went 3-for-4 at the plate.  Floyd drove in runs on a single in the fifth and a home run in the sixth.

Kally Henson was in the pitcher's circle for Eastern. She surrendered four runs on seven hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

Eastern hit one home run on the day. Floyd had a long ball in the sixth inning.

Eastern saw the ball well today, racking up 15 hits in the game.  Baylee Highfill, Floyd, Alissa KindredSummer Perkins and Taylor Blanscett each collected multiple hits for Eastern. Floyd and Highfill both collected three hits to lead the team.
