Makenzie Martin earns NJCAA Region 2 Pitcher of the Week honors

Eastern Oklahoma State College sophomore Makenzie Martin has earned her first Pitcher of the Week award for the season. She was named the NJCAA Region 2 Pitcher of the Week for Week 7. She is the second Eastern softball player to earn the distinction so far this season.

Martin is a right-handed pitcher/first baseman from Alma, Ark. In 17 appearances, Martin has pitched 83.1 innings with 93 strikeouts and a 3.44 earned-run average.
