Eastern Baseball Blows Away Oklahoma Wesleyan (JV) by 14 Runs

The Mountaineers blew out Oklahoma Wesleyan (JV) 15-1 on Wednesday.

Eastern got things moving in the first inning when Jarrett Gable singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

The Mountaineers tallied six runs in the third inning. The offensive firepower was led by Dawson Walters, Austin Albright, Jeb Jenkins and Joseph Cruz, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Andrew Walling earned the victory on the hill for the Mountaineers. Walling surrendered one run on two hits over four innings, striking out nine and walking one. Nolan Feazle threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Eastern socked three home runs on the day. Jenkins went for the long ball in the third inning. Keniel De Leon had a homer in the first inning. Albright had a four bagger in the third inning.

The Mountaineers collected 13 hits. Nick Sizemore and Jenkins each collected two hits to lead Mountaineers. Eastern was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Nick Wimmers made the most plays with nine.
