Christian McGowan earns NJCAA Region 2 Pitcher of the Week honors

Eastern Oklahoma State College sophomore Christian McGowan has earned his first Pitcher of the Week award for the season. He was named the NJCAA Region 2 Pitcher of the Week for March 8-14, 2021. He is the second Eastern baseball player to earn the distinction so far this season.

McGowan is a right-handed pitcher from Bokchito, Okla. In four appearances, McGowan has pitched 21 innings with 38 strikeouts and a 2.14 earned-run average. He has allowed 21 hits, 5 runs, while only giving up 9 walks so far this season.
