Matthew Holzhammer earns second NJCAA Region 2 Pitcher of the Week honors

Eastern Oklahoma State College sophomore Matthew Holzhammer has earned his second consecutive Pitcher of the Week award for the season. He was named the NJCAA Region 2 Pitcher of the Week for Week 6. He is the second Eastern baseball player to earn the distinction so far this season.

Holzhammer is a right-handed pitcher from Wister, Okla. In 10 appearances, he has pitched 42.2 innings with 46 strikeouts and a 4.01 earned-run average. He has allowed 35 hits, 19 earned runs, while only giving up 19 walks so far this season. In Week 6, Holzhammer got the win in a 5.1-inning outing, striking out 10 while giving up only 5 hits and 3 walks.
