Eastern Men's Soccer Once Again Places 7 ON NJCAA Academic All-American Team

The Mountaineers  were once again recognized for academic excellence matching a program record from a year ago with 7 student-athletes earning NJCAA Academic All-American status for the 2019-2020 school year.
Alpha Diallo, Anthony Boateng, Xavi Grainger, Carlos Dias Neto, Florian Ouaddour, Jose Ruarte and Leonardo Schulz were all rewarded for their efforts in the classroom

"I am proud of these young men and continue to be proud of our program as a whole.  This honor is well deserved and is a reflection of what we want our program to represent, it is evidence of the high standard our student-athletes have set for themselves." Said Coach Jon Evan.  "Our entire roster finished with a GPA above 3.0 including several perfect 4.0 GPA's once again and that is a result of a lot of hard work and dedication.  We ask our team to earn distinction in the classroom, be recognized in the community for their service, and to compete for championships on the ball-field. This year's team has done that for sure and I am happy for them and their achievement"
To qualify for the NJCAA All-Academic teams, each student athlete must complete two semesters as a full-time student, participate in at least one season of his or her sport and complete a minimum of 24 credit hours in the current academic year. First Team qualifiers must have a GPA of 4.0, Second Team qualifiers must have a GPA of 3.8-3.99 and Third Team qualifiers must have a GPA of 3.6-3.79.
