Nine Men's Soccer Players Named to All-Region Teams, Faus Named MVP
Nine Eastern men's soccer players earned 2023 NJCAA Region 2 Division I Awards.
Adrian Faus Cabero, a sophomore forward from Valencia, Spain, was named Region 2 MVP. He was the leading goal scorer in the nation for much of the 2023 season and finished the year with 18 goals, 36 points and 55 shots.
Caio Silva, Nassim Nouajaa, Mauro Figueroa Gomez, Pietro Piacenza, Guilherme Domingues, Sam Henrich and Faus were named to the All-Region 2 First Team. Charlie Drury and Teyshawn Mattis were named to the Second Team.
Silva is a sophomore goalkeeper from Sao Paulo, Brazil. In 2023, he totaled 31 saves and only allowed 12 goals.
Nouajaa is a sophomore defender from Quebec, Canada. In 2023, he totaled two assists, two points and three shots.

Domingues is a sophomore midfielder from Rio de Janiero, Brazil. In 2023, he totaled five goals, two assists, 12 points and 21 shots.
Henrich is a sophomore midfielder from Wettenberg, Germany. In 2023, he totaled two assists, two points and five shots.
Drury is a freshman midfielder from Bournemouth, England. In 2023, he totaled two goals, three assists, seven points and 19 shots.
Mattis is a freshman forward from Kingston, Jamaica. In 2023, he totaled four goals, five assists, 13 points and 25 shots.
