Ten Softball Players Named to All-Region Teams, Wells Named MVP

Ten Eastern softball players earned 2024 NJCAA Region 2 Division I Awards.

Greenlee Wells was named the 2024 Region 2 MVP and earned First Team honors. Keeley Johnson was also named to the First Team. Chloe Brown, Grace Hulsey, Geralyn Haney and Makenzie Martin were named to the Second Team. Braelyn Blasengame, Jacy Browne, Alyssa Hart and Sydney Hart each earned Honorable Mention honors.

 
Wells, a sophomore infielder from Vian, Okla. In a record-setting season, Wells hit 26 home runs, a single-season record, while batting .444 and driving in 79 runs. She also set the program career record for home runs with 40. Wells is committed to Oklahoma Baptist University to continue her softball career.
 
Johnson is a sophomore catcher from Rattan, Okla. In 2024, she posted a batting average of .362 with 10 home runs and 44 RBIs. Johnson is committed to Oklahoma State University to continue her softball career.
 
Brown is a sophomore pitcher from Coalgate, Okla. In 2024, she appeared in 34 games, posted an ERA of 3.53 over 142.2 innings and struck out 103 batters. Brown is committed to Northwestern Oklahoma State University to continue her softball career.
 
Hulsey is a freshman pitcher from Chandler, Okla. In 2024, she appeared in 25 games, posted an ERA of 2.97 over 59 innings and struck out 46 batters.
 
Haney is a freshman outfielder from Stuart, Okla. In 2024, she posted a batting average of .357 with 8 home runs and 30 RBIs.
 
Martin is a sophomore pitcher/infielder from Alma, Ark. In 2024, she posted a batting average of .366 with 11 home runs and 48 RBIs. She appeared in 31 games as a pitcher, posting an ERA of 3.68 over 139 innings and struck out 130 batters. Martin is committed to Henderson State University to continue her softball career.
 
Blasengame is a sophomore outfielder from Stuart, Okla. In 2024, she posted a batting average of .270 with 8 home runs and 36 RBIs.
 
Browne is a freshman infielder/catcher from Wilburton, Okla. In 2024, she posted a batting average of .322 with 6 home runs and 25 RBIs.
 
Alyssa Hart is a freshman infielder from Hannibal, Mo. In 2024, she posted a batting average of .387 with 4 home runs and 16 RBIs.
 
Sydney Hart is a sophomore outfielder from Hannibal, Mo. In 2024, she posted a batting average of .277 with 9 RBIs.
