McKenzie Patton was feeling it on Monday.
The Eastern Oklahoma State College freshman set a school record with eight three-point field goals in Monday's 84-76 home loss to Northern Oklahoma College-Enid.
"It feels pretty good to accomplish something like that," Patton said. "It's just a blessing."
Patton finished 8-of-19 from deep and led the Lady Mountaineers with 26 points in the game.
She also leads NJCAA Region II in 3-pointers made with 88 and is fifth in scoring at 15.7 points per game.
Eastern finished the regular season at 8-21 overall and 2-14 in NJCAA Region II. The conference tournament is scheduled for March 4-9, with all but the play-in game to be played at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee.
Patton said she wants to continue making threes, but will help the team any way she can.
"I want to keep that going but I also want to keep working on everything to develop my game," Patton said. "Everyone knows I can shoot now, but I want to help my team all over."
