Tijanae Simmons Earns NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week Honors

Eastern Oklahoma State College sophomore Tijanae Simmons has earned her first Player of the Week award for the season. She was named the NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week for Feb. 1-7, 2021. She is the second Eastern women's basketball player to earn the distinction so far this season.

Simmons is a sophomore guard from Houston, Texas. She is currently averaging 14.4 points per game while shooting 33.3 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc. Simmons is also shooting 81.3 percent from the free-throw line so far this season.
