Henry Named to NJCAA All-America Second Team

For the third year in a row, Eastern Women's Basketball was represented on an NJCAA All-America Team.

Shanequa Henry, a sophomore guard from Texarkana, Texas, was named to the 2021-2022 All-America Second Team by the NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee.

Henry piled up the individual awards while helping the Lady Mountaineers win their second straight Region 2 Co-Championship. She was named the 2021-2022 NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Year, was named First Team All-Region and earned the NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week five times over the course of the season. She started every game this season and averaged 18 points, 3.6 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game during the regular season and postseason. Henry also shot 33.8 percent from beyond the arc and 76.5 percent from the free-throw line.
