Crystal Ortiz Earns NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week Honors

Eastern Oklahoma State College forward Crystal Ortiz has earned her first Player of the Week award for the season. She was named the NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week for Nov. 7-13. She is the first Eastern women's basketball player to earn the distinction so far this season.

Ortiz is a sophomore from Sallisaw, Okla. She is currently averaging 20.8 points per game while shooting 37.3 percent from the field and 22.7 percent from beyond the arc. Ortiz is also shooting 90 percent from the free-throw line so far this season.
