Eastern Oklahoma State College head softball coach Kendra Whisenhunt has been named the new athletic director for the Mountaineers. Nathan Bean, formerly the assistant men’s basketball coach at Williams Baptist University, will take over as the new women’s basketball head coach.

Two Women's Basketball Players Earn Region 2 Awards

Two Eastern women's basketball players earned 2022-2023 NJCAA Region 2 Division I Awards. Crystal Ortiz, a third-year sophomore forward from Sallisaw, Okla., earned First Team All-Region honors. Brooklyn Fisher, a freshman guard from Oklahoma City, earned Second Team All-Region honors.
